Robins

I thought that everyone could use some spring news. I forgot to mention that I heard a robin three days ago in our yard. Couldn't see where it was but heard it. Then yesterday, while out with the ladies, I saw....yes I saw two robins along the road home. What these poor things are eating...I don't have a clue. The snow is so packed and hard....they would need a power drill for a beak. I've heard that some robins stay in the area throughout the winter, but this winter....?Keep looking for them....and  share any signs of spring that you see.

  2. Yes--I saw a Robin last week. Some do stay during the winter--keeping warm in barns or sheds. I have no idea where they would get any worms. Poor thing

  3. I have kept my bird feeder full this terrible winter. Mostly sparrows eat from it but it's available for any of them.

  5. I always look forward to the Robins returning in March here. This winter my yard was filled with them for two days. I think the poor things were hungry since the cold had been so farther south this year and they were looking for food. This winter has been hard on us all and I forget sometimes how hard it must be for the little animals.
I am glad I got your blog back! LOL! Have a great week.

  7. I am always thrilled to see the robins come back, and they are back! Last week I saw a group of them running around the lawn at a local park. Today there was one in my yard darting and looking for something in the grass to eat. She/he looked quite well fed and bright colored. It is such a pleasure to see them and hear their songs again! I keep thinking "only one more snowstorm to go". Spring has got to get here pretty soon.
