Valentine's Day

 This is an old picture..

Simple Pleasures for Valentine's Day...
Feeling loved by family and friends.

This is a good day. We are pretty much alone today, because of weather. Roads are hazardous and I wouldn't want family to take any chances. So, Joe and I are here alone and it's quite nice. I got a box of Pixies from him and because I had nothing for him....I ordered a dozen boxes of bran muffin mix from Amazon. He loves my bran muffins and this way he can mix them and I might be able to cut up the fruit to go in. Another simple pleasure.

Balisha....Hugs

  1. I have a bowl like the one in your photo. DH bought it for me a long time ago, I use it a lot, one of my favorites.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and Joe.

  4. Oh Happy Valentine's Day Balisha! Baking was always a way to show love in my family. My Mom and her Mother were great bakers and I can still envision them both in their kitchens baking pies, cookies, breads or some other goodies! I hope you are having a pleasant day today with your dear Joe. Hugs my sweet friend... Diane

  8. That's what really matters in life--just simple pleasures. I even enjoyed watching the fiercely blowing snow pile up today.

  9. Well, for pete's sake! I haven't a brain left in my head. I finally found you after I wrote you an email. Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day to you and Joe. Even thought it's warm here..I've finally been baking again. We don't get together on Valentine's Day. We call..that's about it. Our day was nice. We did go out to a few garage sales in the late morning..the day was too lovely not to get out. Not much happening..but it was nice to drive around.
I now have found my way back. You know..I really do think I may be losing more than my hearing. (New hearing aids next week!)
I think I'm beginning to really have a memory problem. It seems to be getting worse and worse. Some things and sometimes I'm fine but things just seem to slip my mind. If I think of doing something..I, for some reason think I've actually done it. LOL
    Sounds crazy, I know.
    big hugs..stay warm and safe.

  10. You have such a good positive attitude toward your journey, Balisha (Pat). I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day with just you and Joe enjoying one another's company. More hugs for you...both of you.

  11. Sounds yummy. One of my weaknesses is orange-cranberry muffins or bread. I have a box that needs baked now in the cupboard. A muffin and coffee or milk sounds good for a cold day like today. Happy Valentines and Hope you are doing better. Hugs and prayers.
