A Day in the Life of a Blogger Who Has a Love Hate Relationship With Her Computer By Balisha

A Day in the Life of a Blogger Who Has a Love Hate Relationship With Her Computer
Balisha

The other day I sat here and wrote a post or three...
My computer humming happily as I hit the shiny keys.
Bedtime came I turned in early ...with poems on my mind..
I slept the sleep of babies... my dreams were all so kind.
The morning came and I was here....trying hard to just get in..
The button stuck and wouldn't budge....Joe didn't have a grin.
The hours went by ... he hooked up an old one that he had..
My shiny little computer was making me so sad.
From that time on it's been a thorn... in Joe's side as I ask..
One more question that I have about each and every task.
Everything was new to me and I wanted just to  talk..
When he ignored my questions...it made me start to balk.
I called support to help me and .couldn't understand..
I'm not computer savvy...I thought I'd get a hand.
The talk went on and on you know...and nothing was resolved..
I wished that it was over and I was not involved.
Well, a day has passed and I can do a lot....I want to make this clear..
The only thing I lost.. my friends...is one that was so dear
My blog just isn't working and I decided to start anew...
My followers are gone right now...I only have a few.
But, I'll get over it in time and things will all look just fine..
This blog called Simply Balisha... will give me peace of mind.

  5. I got in Balisha and I am so sorry you lost your other blog. Maybe it will work again one day. That's really AWFUL! I wonder what on earth causes that to happen.

Love and hugs to you and I hope your day will be a good one.

  6. I guess it's working. That really gives me some peace of mind. Early yesterday morning I went to "Blog to Print" and made a book of the past years posts. I've done this every year and now will have 7 books. So all is not lost. Most of my pictures are in those books. So glad I was able to do that.
Thanks for responding so quickly...you're the best.

  7. I just tried to add a followers place...and I think that you have to have Google+
We're thinking that all this started when I accidentally added Google+ Not sure, but I don't want to take the chance and do it all over again.

  15. Hate when the computer goes bonkers and dies. They CAN retrieve all your files off your old hard drive--I have had it done before. Maybe you should purchase one of those hard drive back-up thingies on line?

  17. I just came right over when I saw that your blog had gone missing. I don't know yet if the original blog will show up where it used to be with m computer. I hope you will be able to get it back again in all of its glory. What a shame it would be to lose all of your wonderful poetry and writings for and about your son, and all of your beautiful photos. I will keep praying that there will be a way to get back everything that you choose to.

  18. Just checked my sidebar where I also have you listed and your blog is still there the last post being, I believe, January 31, 2014. It went pretty far back in time as I checked very briefly.

I just thought you would like to know. I am not at all tech-ish, so maybe another blogger can tell you how to get your missing blog back where it belongs. Good luck and Best Wishes!

  19. Hi Susie....I was able to make a book out of the past year's blog posts. So, all my pictures, memories and poems are saved. I've been making books for all the years I have blogged. So, if I can't get the blog back...it's really not much of a problem for me. I just wanted to make sure that all my followers had my new address. I'm putting my address on all the emails that I send out for friends and relatives who follow.
You all make my day happy.

  20. Oh dear.. So this is what happened? Your computer is now working but you cannot get your blog..or you are on another computer but your blog is missing? I have never once called for help on my computer that I haven't ended up on line for hours. And hours! Once I was on the line with someone from Dell for nearly 9 hours. I was crying before it was over. I finally kept saying, "I have to go now, I have to go now! Howard was on the phone for nearly two hours just yesterday..and his computer is still acting up.
I am so sorry about your blog, Balisha. I know how I would feel.
