Morning by Balisha

Morning...by Balisha

Waking up this morning....I'm in my cozy bed,
I heard a birdie singing and this is what he said...
"Good morning dear Balisha...I'm visiting from above,
The skies are clear and beautiful and I am full of love.
I came so early to cheer you up and make you feel OK..
Some other friends are here with me and this is what they say"..
The little wren (my favorite) brings songs so full of joy...
The robin with his winter coat....is being oh so coy..
The black bird on the wire....is too shy to come down..
He squawks his message from above..his face is in a frown.
The chipmunk  out of hiding he gives his little grin...
The possum shyly gives a smile....and turns to go back in.
The sun is  up ... gives me a nod  and stops to say hello..
A sunny day is what we need to warm us down below.
I turn toward the downy bed to rest a little more...
All is well today... a good day is in store.

  5. Balisha - I just ran across your blog last evening and I'm not sure how I
hopped over here. I wanted to email you but for some reason it wouldn't let
me. I'm SO very sorry to hear about your ovarian cancer and how bad you're
feeling. Your situation is very close to my heart because I lost my dear
sister-best friend last summer to ovarian cancer. I am a firm believer in
the Lord's ability to heal completely or change one's circumstances and I
will keep you in my prayers. I also believe that you made the right
decision about your treatment, Balisha. My sister's cancer was caught a bit
earlier as she was stage 3. She did have extensive surgery and several
rounds of chemo, but she made the decision to not continue it the last few
months of her life. I do not want to seem like I'm being morbid or
anything, and certainly not EVER giving up hope. But I want to tell you
that you HAVE been given a gift. The Gift of Time. Yes, it's hard for your
family to know that you're suffering, but it's also a blessing in disguise.
My sister was ill for 18 months. I quit my job to help care for her. Lisa
was able to spend time with her two grown kids, time with our parents, time
with her husband and time with me, and that is something that I will
cherish forever. There was nothing left unsaid, nothing not talked about,
nothing undecided, no love not expressed many times over. I HATE cancer and
I HATE that she had to go through that, but if any of us are called home by
the Lord suddenly, we don't get to experience that wonderful gift!

I believe from reading your blog for quite awhile last night that you love
the Lord and have your faith and trust in Him to help you face the future
with hope and strength. I simply don't know what people do without the Lord
God in their lives. Grab onto this gift, Balisha, and spend all the time
with your family that you can and love them to pieces! I have a feeling
that you're already doing that! I wish you peace that passes all understand,
comfort, freedom from pain, filling your heart with the love from your family
and from our Lord. May God Bless and keep you in His loving care!
You and your precious family will continue in my prayers.
    Vickie

  20. John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

Not one of us knows when, where, or how our end will come - but we have God's promises to give us hope - may He bless and comfort you, dear Patricia, and may you be blessed with another beautiful day. Your poem is from your beautiful heart - thank you from the bottom of mine! Love and prayers, Ruth

  25. For you today, dear Patricia:

    The Canticle of Creation
O Most High, all-powerful, good Lord God,
    to you belong praise, glory,
    honour and all blessing.
Be praised, my Lord, for all your creation
and especially for our Brother Sun,
    who brings us the day and the light;
he is strong and shines magnificently.
O Lord, we think of you when we look at him.
Be praised, my Lord, for Sister Moon,
    and for the stars
which you have set shining and lovely
    in the heavens.
    Be praised, my Lord,
for our Brothers Wind and Air
    and every kind of weather
    by which you, Lord,
uphold life in all your creatures.
Be praised, my Lord, for Sister Water,
who is very useful to us,
and humble and precious and pure.
Be praised, my Lord, for Brother Fire,
through whom you give us light in the darkness:
he is bright and lively and strong.
    Be praised, my Lord,
    for Sister Earth, our Mother,
who nourishes us and sustains us,
    bringing forth
fruits and vegetables of many kinds
    and flowers of many colours.
    Be praised, my Lord,
    for those who forgive for love of you;
    and for those
    who bear sickness and weakness
    in peace and patience
    - you will grant them a crown.
Be praised, my Lord, for our Sister Death,
    whom we must all face.
I praise and bless you, Lord,
and I give thanks to you,
and I will serve you in all humility. (St Francis of Assisi)

God's Peace to you, sweet Lady Love to you and yours, Ruth
