Well, the year is over for making my woodland creatures out of felt. When we started this project months ago...I was so happy. Finally something that I could do, creatively, while sitting in my living room and not making quite the mess of other crafts. Something that could sit in a basket by my chair....something I could pick up and work on for a few minutes or an hour or so. The project was started by Dawn at Creative Cain Cabin and Claudia at Mockingbird Hill Cottage (both on my sidebar) Each month the two of them would post a critter and it's pattern. We copied the pattern and could finish them anyway we wanted. I had fun selecting the colors, threads, trims and some painting....to finish these. Two a month and this month four...so we could finish before Christmas begins.
I want to thank these two gals for continuing the project. Quite a few bloggers began the project, but not many finished to the end. I have a small woodland tree that I plan to decorate with these cute little guys. I'll miss this project...I know that I can go ahead and do a few on my own, but there's nothing like a group of people to get you going and keep you on track.
So, here they are and soon I will show my little tree all decorated with them.
Thanks so much, Dawn and Claudia.....for a year of fun.

How neat! You are so creative, Balisha!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute! I know you are glad you "stuck with it." Always a good feeling to get a project done.
ReplyDeleteHello, I have really enjoyed you sharing these with us each month. They are so very cute. As a young girl, I took art/craft lessons from my 3rd grade teacher and I loved to work with felt. I am so excited to see your woodland tree. Thanks for sharing with us. Love your choice of colors and embellishments. Mildred

ReplyDeleteI've been watching the progress you and Claudia have been making with these lovey critters. During a stash clearout I discovered I have quite a few scraps of felt, so I've decided to move myself and 'have a go'. I'll let you know how I get on. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and energy which have helped to rouse me from my self-inflicted lethargy. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI just decorated my little tree. I thought that a woodland tree would be perfect for Thanksgiving. I'll show it next week. Busy today with floors and clearing a closet for coats. We are having a snow storm right now and power has flickered on and off all morning. Glad we don't have to go out today.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Can't wait to see your tree!
ReplyDeleteThey are really adorable! I too can't wait to see what they look like on your tree! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! ~ Diane
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Balisha!! Do you sew by hand? That's about all I can do. Otherwise I thought it was a super challenge!! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the story on the pheasants! I'm sure these are great memories. I've been getting a lot of great stories of pheasant and wild rice soup...sounds great!
You should try the candles...very simple and not many supplies!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!! I so hope to visit more often soon.
