My grandma always canned them. I canned last year and planned on doing it again this year...I ran out around March. Then again with my son's family down the road now maybe all those tomatoes will be eaten fresh this summer! :) I keep taking lettuce down there ..it's not bolted yet.

Saw your critters in the prior post ...so cute! :) I know that you have enjoyed making them and I look forward to seeing more as the patterns keep coming each month : ) Deb @ Frugal Little Bungalowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13091419343402163298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432737661978032207.post-8855309391564275662014-07-01T09:59:22.842-07:002014-07-01T09:59:22.842-07:00It's always the right time for soup in my hous...It's always the right time for soup in my house! I agree with you re the Italian tomatoes. I use the boxed Romis that I find at Whole Foods. We had the same wet and wild night as you did. Our electricity went off about 11 p.m. and came back on at 4 a.m.. Fortunately, we have a battery powered backup sump pump. There are lots of tree limbs scattered around town today but nothing major.

Best,
BonnieFrom the Kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00789641912016566894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432737661978032207.post-72081088530288110562014-07-01T09:28:30.747-07:002014-07-01T09:28:30.747-07:00This soup sounds delicious! I bet your place is smelling really nice right now.

Your storm sounds awful, but I'm glad you came through it ok.

We've got Arthur off of our coast, and he should be moving northward and may turn into a category 1 hurricane. We've gotten quite a bit of stormy weather, rain and wind and T&L. I did get to mow yesterday morning most of what needed it. The rest can wait.

Enjoy the rest of your week ~ FlowerLadyFlowerLady Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678852154334714784noreply@blogger.com
